Today I'll be reviewing Bloom, written by Kevin Panetta and brilliantly illustrated by Savanna Ganucheau. I picked this graphic novel up spontaneously whilst perusing a local bookstore and was instantly drawn in by the synopsis, which hinted at a romance between two recent high school graduates, with music and baking – two things that I absolutely love – at the heart of the story.

Today I'll be reviewing a much-hyped book that I actually buddy-read with my twin sister: Jennifer Lynn Barnes' The Inheritance Games. I went in full of expectations (the comparisons to Knives Out and The Westing Game persuaded me in no time) and was only partially disappointed in the end.
